New Orleans Protested Trump's Immigration Policy Saturday

Jul 2, 2018

On Saturday, people across the country rallied in their cities to protest the Trump Administration’s immigration policies, particularly those pointed at America’s southern border. Hundreds of thousands of people took part in the protests including the one that took place in New Orleans at Congo Square in 95-degree heat. From there, the crowd marched through the French Quarter to Jackson Square

It was exciting to see so many people and different communities come together Saturday to make themselves heard and speak in support of families trying to escape desperate situations in their home countries. Here are some of our photos of people protesting New Orleans style, and a video of the march as it left Armstrong Park.
