Recently, we wrote about changes to F, J, and M visas aimed at preventing international students from overstaying the duration allotted. Kathleen spoke on some of these issues and more two weeks ago at Nicholls State University. She talked to the school’s international students, outlining the things they need to know and the basics they need to keep in mind while they attend university in the United States.
Here is Kathleen’s Powerpoint presentation. The notes are in point form, but they may answer some questions and help international students that weren’t at the talk. We post this for informational purposes; students should consult with international student advisors or an experienced immigration lawyer before they make plans that may be construed as violating the terms of their visas.
